If you’re adding or editing your metering hierarchy, here are some guidelines on entering information into the fields
Building/Complex/Area
| Field | Description |
| Building/Complex/Area Name | The name of the complex, building, or area that you will meter/monitor |
| Metering Section Address | Address of the complex, building, or area that you will meter/monitor |
| Square Size(m2) | The surface area of a metering section in square meters |
| Metering Group | A collection of meters or metering points organized for simplified management and monitoring |
| Municipality | The municipality where the complex, building, or area to be metered or monitored is located |
| Billing Day | The billing day for the complex, building, or area being metered or monitored |
| Meter Reading Capture | Enable or disable meter reading capture for the complex, building, or area being metered or monitored |
| How many days prior to billing | Number of days before billing to capture meter readings for the complex, building, or area being metered or monitored |
Metering Point
| Field | Description |
| Select Building/Complex/Area Name | A list of complexes, buildings, or areas to select for metering or monitoring |
| Metering Point Name | The name of the specific metering point being monitored |
| ERF No. | The ERF number is a unique identifier used to describe the purchased property |
| Account No. | The municipal or tenant account number associated with the property |
| Meter Group Type | Categorize meters, such as Mains, Sub-Meters, Check Meters, etc., for grouping purposes |
| Property Type | Specifies the type of property to determine applicable tariff rates |
| Municipal Region | The municipality (village, town, or city) where the property is located, governed by a mayor and council |
| Water Tariff | The applicable water tariff for the metering point |
| Sanitation Tariff | The applicable sanitation tariff for the metering point |
| Meter Pipe Size | The pipe size of the metering point |
| Electricity Tariff | The applicable electricity tariff for the metering point |
| Meter Breaker Size | The breaker size for the metering point |
| Gas Tariff | The applicable gas tariff for the metering point |
| Notified Maximum Demand (kVA) | The maximum demand in kVA for the metering point |
