If you’re adding or editing your metering hierarchy, here are some guidelines on entering information into the fields
Building/Complex/Area
Field | Description |
Building/Complex/Area Name | The name of the Complex, Building or Area that you will meter/monitor. |
Metering Section Address | Address of the Complex, Building or Area that you will meter/monitor. |
Municipality | The municipality of the Complex, Building or Area that you will meter/monitor. |
Billing Day | Billing Day of the Complex, Building or Area that you will meter/monitor. |
Meter Reading Capture | To enable/disable the Metering Reading Capture of the Complex, Building or Area that you will meter/monitor. |
How many days prior to billing | Metering Reading Capture days before billing of the Complex, Building or Area that you will meter/monitor. |
Metering Point
Field | Description |
Select Building/Complex/Area Name | The list of the Complex, Building or Areas. |
Metering Point Name | The name of the Metering Point that you will meter/monitor. |
ERF No. | An erf number is the number used to describe the property purchased. |
Account No. | Municipal or tenant account number. |
Meter Group Type | To group meters, e.g. Mains, Sub-Meters, Check Meters and more. |
Property Type | To describe the kind of property for tariff type rates. |
Municipal Region | A municipality refers to a village, town, or city that’s usually governed by a mayor and council |
Water Tariff | The water tariff for the metering point. |
Sanitation Tariff | The sanitation tariff for the metering point. |
Meter Pipe Size | Pipe size of the metering point. |
Electricity Tariff | The electricity tariff for the metering point. |
Meter Breaker Size | Breaker size for the metering point. |
Gas Tariff | The gas tariff for the metering point. |
Notified Maximum Demand (kVA) | The maximum demand for the metering point |
