High-Resolution Interface (HRI) is a universal sensor that is compatible with a wide range of meters, including:
1. Single-jet
2. Multi-jet
The HRI can be retrofitted on all Sensus meters built since 2008 that are pre-equipped with an HRI modulator. It is available in two versions
1. The HRI-A pulse unit is a high-resolution pulse that detects the flow direction.
2. The HRI-B data unit is an electronic register with a data interface that supports both hard-wired M-Bus systems and battery-driven MiniBus devices such as mobile meter reading systems. The HRI-B can alternatively be used as a pulse type with configurable pulse output.
Smartwater is a pulse reading device used for Automatic Meter Reading (AMR), connecting any mechanical water meter with pulse output to the internet. The meter totalizer reading, along with other diagnostic data is sent daily over a low-power network to a cloud server. This enables the utility management company or municipality to receive water meter readings on a daily basis using a web application, without the need to visit each and every meter.
